Heather's Burdie Peacoat, Part Deux

January 2009's Girl's Peacoat

I returned to work on Heather's new glen plaid peacoat several days later. Beyond the welt pocket construction, it seemed easy to construct!

* I basted the pleat of the lower back section and the back loop to the pleat.
* I attached the back yoke to the lower back section.
* I stitched the front sleeves to the upper front and the back sleeves to the upper back of the coat. Then I stitched each of the lower portions of the sleeves together, right sides together, and the side seams as one continuous seam.
* I basted the collar to the neckline.
